About / About Amy
Stellar
Communications owner Amy Hufford is more than a designer...
- Deep experience in both print (15+ years) and online media (10+ years)
helps Amy advise clients as to the most appropriate medium for a message
as well as the costs associated with each medium.
- Amy has managed web projects as large as the redesign and launch of
the www.austinhomesearch.com search engine to small, one-page web sites.
Her large-scale project experience
as well as the number of sites she has developed means that a wealth of
knowledge — what works, what doesn't, how long it will take and
how much it will cost — is applied to every project. This translates
into marketing efforts that "get it right" the first time.
- Amy worked on the client side in corporate, employee and member communications
for 10 years before opening Stellar Communications; she knows where clients
are coming from.
- With more than three years of hands-on work in a print shop environment,
Amy knows how to prepare files for printing properly the first time —
avoiding deadline-busting and expensive rework at the print shop.

About Amy
Pro Bono Work
Amy brings a business perspective aside from her extreme creativity. She
brings economical and common sense approaches. Her first instinct is so
good. When I generally give her some direction on what I want, what she
delivers is what I have in mind but always so much better. I have worked
with other designers who are good artistically but don't get the business
side of things as Amy does.
